Well, I'm 2 months and 1 week now.  I have learned a whole lot since my last post!  I can follow people and toys with my eyes like a champ.  I can pretty much hold my head up all by myself. This week, I even started sticking my tongue out at mommy when she she sticks her out at me.  I have rolled onto my side a few times too.  I smile like crazy when mommy and daddy talk to me with their goofy voices.  I weigh 12 lbs now and am growing out of my 0-3 month clothes quickly.  I am getting so big that mommy is having me sleep in my big boy crib tonight instead of the bassinet!  I'm so excited!

I met my Uncle Chris and he took some photos of mom and me and also some of just me.  They are from 3 weeks ago.  Hope you like them and hopefully we'll post some more real soon.

Hi Everybody,

Happy 1 month Birthday to me!  I have to say that this first month on the outside has been totally awesome!  I'm living the life - eating, sleeping, farting... I have 2 servants that pretty much wait on me hand and foot.  That would be mommy and daddy.  I'm just starting to recognize them b/c my eyes haven't quite developed fully yet;  I can see about a foot or two away and am just beginning to follow their movements when they get real close, but, I know their voices by heart!   So what else have I been doing?  Let's see - Mommy gives me tummy time.  This is when she puts me on my tummy on a blankie on the floor so I can practice picking my head up to strengthen my neck.  I don't really like tummy time.  I do, however, like it when I get something called a bath!  It makes me remember life on the inside cause it's all warm and nice, but, then momma rubs me down with lotion to make me smell like a wuss.  But my absolute favorite thing to do is this:  I poop my pants just enough to make them change my dipey.  Then, right when they have my legs way up in the air, and my little butt is waving in the breeze... that's right... I press real hard and poo-bomb everything.   hehe.

Well Hello from the outside!  I'm here and I can't believe it!  Exactly one week early.  Mommy's water broke on Feb 17th at 2:30am and I was born at 5:45 pm on the same day via cesarean section.  I was so stressed out when mommy was contracting that the doc made the decision that a c-section was necessary.  I weighed in at 7 lbs 8.2 oz and was 19.25" long.  I also came equipped with a full head of hair!  Everyone says how handsome I am.  So look out world! Here I am!

Hi Guys!   These updates are getting closer and closer now!  Mommy saw the doc on Friday and she is now 1.5 cm dilated, 90% effaced and baby is at -2 station.  Doc says that I am good to go anytime now.  They also set the date of Feb 26th as an induction date if I don't go before my due date of Feb 24th.  Doc won't let me stay in here for more than 1 week after my due date so I'll be here in less than 2 weeks whether it's my decision or not!  I'm so excited that I kicked the bejesus out of mommy this morning!  She thought I was pushing my way out!

Mommy's gut is that I'll be here by the end of next week.  We'll see if she's right!!

Hi everyone, I'm 37 weeks and 1 day!  19 days to go till my expected arrival date.  

I have huge news this week – I am officially considered a full-term baby! If I were to be born today, all systems would be a go. Woohoo! Even though I can't wait to meet everyone, I’ll try to stay put for a little while longer because I’m still practicing breathing, sucking, sleeping and more.  My growth slows down dramatically this week, which is great news for mommy. At this point, I probably weigh about 6 lbs or more and might be between 19 and 20 inches long!

Mommy went to the see the Doc today and guess what?  She is 1 CM dilated and fully effaced!  The doc said that mommy’s ready to go whenever I am!

Hi everyone,

Well I'm just about 35 weeks old.  I am over 18 inches long and weigh over 5 lbs. Everything is developed and ready to go.  Even my lungs are just about mature.  Only thing I am focusing on now is packing on the lbs and believe me - space is getting tight in here!  Thank goodness I only have about a month left to go before I get to see you guys!  The Doc said I'm in position and doing great!

OH!  I have to tell you about my trip to New Orleans.  It was great fun!  I heard all sorts of people out there!  They were talking to me and telling me they loved me and feeling me move around.  I gave a couple of good jabs just to let them know that I knew they were there! There was something called a "shower" and all I could hear mommy say was "Awwwww. How cute..How nice....."  She had a lot of fun visiting with the family and friends that she got to see.   Here are 3 recent pics of us -

Hi everybody,

This week I turn 31 weeks old!  Only 9 more to go before I get to meet Mommy and Daddy I’m getting ready to go through a little growth spurt just for the occasion.  Right now, I’m over 16 inches long and weigh over 3 lbs.  I’ve been able to open and close my eyes for a couple of weeks now and if you shine a light at mommy’s tummy, I can see it.  I can also hear everything that’s going on out there, so I’ll recognize daddy’s voice when I meet him.  I’ve been taking regular naps throughout the day to replenish my energy after my kickboxing sessions.  I got the hiccups the other day and mommy felt them for the first time.  I could feel her laughing so I gave her a little nudge with my heel.   So all and all, I’m doing great right now.  The doc says I am growing at the right rate and that I can even wait another month before I turn head down.  Right now, I’m just focusing on gaining weight and practicing breathing with all of this water around me.   

Well,

I'm ready for my first road trip!  We're going to the farm up in PA for Thanksgiving!  Yippee!!  This week I'm 27 weeks old and I weigh 2 lbs.  I'm about 14.5 inches long.  

Oh... I almost forgot Mommy and Daddy have decided on my name this week - Jacob Robert Hindman.  That's got a nice ring to it - don'tcha think?

Well my photoshoot finally arrived and now everyone can see that "I'm a BOY!"..... a handsome one at that, if I do say so myself.

I'm about 11 inches long right now and my photographer said that I am picture perfect!   Speaking of pictures, here is a pic of mommy and me around 22 weeks.

Hi Everyone!

18 weeks now!  Almost halfway there!  Mommy saw the Doc today and my heartbeat is in the 140’s which is good.  Mommy and Daddy thought they would find out if I am a boy or girl today, but, my photoshoot was rescheduled so they’ll have to wait a few more weeks.

Head to buttsky, I’m 5 1/2 inches long  and he weigh almost 7 ounces.  I’ve been very busy flexing my arms and legs and I’ve become so big and strong that mommy has been feeling me move everyday for about a week now!  Daddy event felt me kick for the first time last night. Now he has to stop telling mommy that it's just gas bubbles!!

 Hi Guys!  I turn 14 weeks this week!  From my head to my buttsky, I measure 3.5” and I weight about 1.5 oz.  The doc said that I’m going great and my heartbeat is 140 bpm.  While mommy and the doc were listening to my heartbeat, I was squirming all around so they could hear me.

 My big developments this week are that I can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and I’m trying really hard to suck my thumb.   I learned that I can make all sorts of faces this week!!  My kidneys are producing peepee too.  Isn’t that cool??  I’m also starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over my body and my hands and feet are about a ½ inch long.  Won’t be long before mommy will be able to feel me moving all around! 

I’m 12 weeks today and I’m a whopping 2 inches long from my noggin to my buttsky.  I weigh half an ounce.  Sooooo…my big announcement is that I have reflexes now! My fingers will soon begin to open and close, my toes will curl, my eye muscles will clench, and my mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, when mommy prods her tummy, I squirm all around although she can’t feel it.  Also, my nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in my brain, synapses are forming furiously. My face looks more like everyone else’s face now because my eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and my ears are right where they should be.
